Tendai Gwirize

Tendai was born in 1981 in Harare and was educated at Jonasi primary and secondary schools.

His mentors, John Type and Danny Kanyemba taught Tendai his beginnings by showing him how to wash and prepare sculptures for polishing.

It was during this time when he started to imagine his own style that he would someday sculpt.

Even at a young age, his art has been shown at various local exhibitions with great response.

Being a religious young man, Tendai says it was God who has given him a creative mind so he must travel that path to wherever it takes him.
