Shingirai Madzongwe

Shingirai Madzongwe was born in the Chegutu district of Zimbabwe in 1975 into a Family of nine of which he was the sixth.

He did his primary Education at Madzongwe primary school and his secondary Education at Seke 5 high.

He continued his studies up to form four in the Zimbabwean Education system. When he left, he found a job as a stores assistant from 1993 up to 1995.

In 1996, he decided to pursue art as a career as he felt that he had a natural  talent. This Was mainly due to the influence of Newman Chikuni although as a young man he used to pass the time carving wooden items whilst herding cattle.
