Rickson Zavare Murehwa
In his words: “When attempting to work on a stone, I use its hardness, texture, and form. My mood is the major player in the creative process. It is very difficult to create a good piece because you cannot feel the same and see the same vision in the stone throughout the creation process. It can take weeks, months or years to come up with a piece of sculpture from the raw piece of stone. It can be frustrating at times because the piece might break near its completion”. As a young artist he hopes to participate in exhibitions all over the world and take part in cultural exchange programs with other foreign artists and gain more exposure and experience. . |
