Nichodimus Mutasa

Nichodimus was born in the Makoni district near the eastern highlands town of Rusape in 1970.

Becoming very interested in all aspects of art at an early age, he and his only sibling, brother Solomon, were eventually taught by their father, Joe Mutasa.

Mutasa senior also taught a well known local carver, Rufaro Murenza, and their styles are alike.

He married his wife, Pauline, in 2002 and they have a boy, Kingstone.

A very quiet living man and gentle in nature, he will sometimes read novels in his spare time.
