The source for the graceful and elegant work of Lucky Office is understandable soon after meeting him for the first time.
This talented young man has a quiet dignity that is mirrored in his sculptures.
Born in 1976 in the Hurungwe district, he started sculpting after a chance meeting with Moses Masaya who encouraged Lucky to pursue his desire to become a well known artist.
Although, family tragedies have influenced much of his work, he does not allow too much to show through the carvings.
Lucky works from the back yard of his motherís house, and through the sale of his art, is slowly improving the house and grounds to help produce a better living environment for his mother.
In 1997, Lucky married his long time girlfriend, Sharon, and they had a boy, Allen, later that year.
2000 saw the arrival of their second child, a girl, who they named Revai.
Luckmore, being one of the more well known artists, has had his sculptures exhibited at the International Exhibition at the Motobo Gallery. His work has also been shown in the USA, Britain, Belgium, Germany and the National Gallery of Zimbabwe Heritage 2002 Exhibition and now in Vancouver, Canada.
