Lawrence Mbikiza

Lawrence was born in Chirumanzi to a family of three boys and five girls.

As a young child, always interested in different art works, he would carve items from wood.

His uncle, Emmanuel Mapurisana first introduced him to the world of stone sculpting and in 1995 joined the Kaunda co-operative.

After gaining experience, he then joined a well known artist, Samson Kuvhenguhwa to gain even more knowledge.

Lawrence has been a full time professional sculpture working for himself since then.

His works has found their way to many countries. In 2000 he married Agnes and they have a little boy.
