Kingstone Runyanga

Kingstone Runyanga was born in 1961 in the Eastern Highlands town of Rusape to a family of four sons and is the younger brother of Gideon Runyanga.

Sculpting runs in the Runyanga family as both the artist's brothers were taught by their uncle, Stanley, starting in 1980.

Kingstone is a carver of mainly animals and is especially talented with rhino and elephant sculptures.

A quiet living family man, he married his wife Plaxedes and they now have seven children, two of whom are twins.

The family relies on the skill of Kingstone, who is a full time artist, for their income.
