African Art Shona Sculpture - Innocent KapikinyuInnocent was the first-born in Chitungwiza in 1976 to a family of two boys and four girls.

While at school, he took up sculpting studies in the art classes and has maintained his interest to this day with the same intensity.

In 1998, he joined with established artist, Chemedu Jemali, who taught him “how to attack the stone up to the end”.

Innocent is inspired by artists like Jemali who have exhibited their work internationally and has a burning desire to follow their lead.

Even now, his work has been bought and sold in many different countries.

In 2001 he married and has one son, Givemore.

In his spare time, he plays social football.
