Endby Madhevere was born in Mount Darwin in 1980 and his tribe is the Zezuru.
Endby did his primary and secondary education in Mount Darwin. He became interested in Shona Sculpture at the age of eighteen by watching his uncles Andamiyo Chihota And Edronce Rukodzi. He decided this was his passion and what he wanted to do with his life.
He started carving small sculptures during his spare time, which included birds, ball heads animals and leaf heads.
He believes that each sculpture is better that the previous as each time he corrects his past mistakes. He expresses what he sees, feels and experiences through his art.
Endby later visited the Tengenenge Art Community and was able to join after staying with his uncle Andamiyo. Through inspiration from Andamiyo, Endby became a full time sculptor and now displays his sculptures at Tengenenge.
