Clopas Kamere
In 1994, he went to work for the well respected carver, Joe Mutasa, as an assistant and apprentice. During the three years Clopas worked with Mutasa, he learnt the art of sculpting and experimented with all themes and styles. After gaining the necessary experience, he set out on his own. He has since sold his sculptures to the well known Chapungu and Stone Heritage galleries in Harare, as well as many buyers from around the world. One of his goals is to travel abroad and hold his own exhibition and workshop. A quiet living man, Clopas married Eppina in 1999 and they have a boy and girl. . |
