Alexander Chitungo
He completed his O'levels in 1986 at one of the better known schools in Harare, Prince Edward. It was not until 1990 that he began sculpting as a result of contacts with Tonderai Marezva and Lincoln Muteta, both renowned sculptors within the Shona Sculpture movement. Two years later, he left them to develop his own style. Alex uses the theme "Voices of Reality". He has held group exhibitions inside and outside Zimbabwe including: Bermuda, USA and Holland. |

Alexander
Chitungo was born on 3rd August 1969 in the small town of
Marondera. He is the second born in a family of six children.
